Linda struggles amid Dean’s plea hearing. Linda Carter is set to spark new concern
as the Dean Wicks storyline is revisited on EastEnders. Viewers will know that The Six
recently framed Dean for the murder of Keanu Taylor, with Dean reported to the police
by the actual killer Linda after the murder weapon was planted in his flat by Stacey Slater. In new scenes set to air on the BBC soap, Linda struggles to cope on the day of Dean’s plea hearing. Jack reveals he cannot attend, leaving Bernie down – though she soon turns to Linda, who evades her questions. Sharon and Linda speak about the impending trial at No 43, and later on Linda is given a pep talk as she wraps a present for Lexi. However, Elaine starts to worry when she spots an empty vodka miniature – will she confront Linda over her drinking? Dean actor Matt Di Angelo recently confirmed that his character will exit in the coming months amid his trial storyline.
“There is a trial,” he told The Sun. “I know the result of the trial, because we’ve filmed it already. I can tell you – but I won’t because it would ruin the television.” He also admitted that while Dean is “a fun character to play”, he can only “handle a bit of him every six years or so, and then after a week you’re like, ‘OK enough of this’.” Matt further teased of the scenes: “We were on location for a full week and most of the trial is filmed. There was a twist at the end of it that sort of surprised me.”
