EastEnders fans ‘rumble’ Oscar’s fate and it’s not good news for Branning family

EastEnders viewers are speculating that Oscar Branning will meet a similar fate as three of his siblings by falling off the Queen Vic roof.

Max and Tanya Branning’s son made a dramatic return to Walford on Monday’s episode (July 14) of the BBC One soap.

Lauren Branning received an unexpected call and rushed off without revealing her destination to Peter Beale.

Lauren arrived to collect her younger brother Oscar from a youth detention centre, where the young boy was seen sporting a cheeky grin, holding a cigarette and wearing an ankle tag.

Upon learning that Oscar expected to move in with her after their mum Tanya had thrown him out following an incident involving his “mate” attempting to petrol bomb their home, Lauren was left reeling, reports OK!.

As the family reluctantly discussed Oscar’s living arrangements, the teenager stepped outside, followed by Lauren. The siblings reminisced about their late sister Abi, who tragically died after falling from The Queen Vic roof.

Fans will recall that Abi tragically died after being removed from life support following a fall from the Queen Vic’s roof on Christmas Day 2017, a devastating echo of when her brother Bradley Branning (played by Charlie Clements) suffered an identical fate seven years prior.

On X, previously known as Twitter, a fan wrote: “I give it five years until he ends up in a police tent after falling off the Vic roof for the 45th anniversary.”

Another posted: “It’s been acknowledged again, it’s only imminent Oscar is the next victim #EastEnders.”

A different viewer commented: “Oscar is the only Branning sibling not to fall off the roof, iconic #eastenders.”

Yet another person remarked: “I take it that Oscar Branning will fall from that roof in future… make it all the kids falling from the roof.”

Upcoming EastEnders spoilers reveal that Oscar quickly makes his mark on Walford.

Jack Branning (portrayed by Scott Maslen) has a heart-to-heart with Oscar and learns about the latter’s strained relationship with his parents.

In an unexpected turn, Oscar hatches a plan to trick Ian out of his money by faking a tumble in the fish and chip shop and claiming for compensation, which leaves Stacey Slater (acted by Lacey Turner) bemused.

But the scam doesn’t go without its consequences, as a social worker witnesses the staged incident unfold.
