Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) trauma over the events of Christmas Day isn’t over, as upcoming
episodes of EastEnders will see Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) take to the stand for his plea hearing.
Earlier this year, Dean was sent to prison for murdering Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters). On
Christmas Day, Linda stabbed Keanu and, with help from the other members of The Six, his body was buried under the café floorboards shortly after. When the café floorboards collapsed and Keanu’s body was uncovered, The Six worked together to frame Dean and send him back to prison. Dean knows full well that he’s being framed, which will make his plea hearing next week a very interesting watch indeed. As the day begins, Linda is understandably struggling to cope. Surprise Announcement: No longer a rumor, legends COMEBACK 2 days ago Unbelievable Tragedy: EastEnders Stuns Fans with the “Biggest Legend FACES DEATH” 2 days ago In the aftermath of Keanu’s murder, Linda’s reliance on alcohol spiralled a considerable amount.
She has been drunk multiple times in front of her friends and family, but has also been seen subtly sipping the booze via a coffee cup to give the impression she has some control over the addiction. Elsewhere in Albert Square, Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) is deflated when Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) reveals he’s unable to attend the hearing, but her attention is soon diverted to Linda, who tries to evade her questioning. In the week, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) has a heart-to-heart with best mate Linda about Dean and the impending trial. Later, Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) gives Linda another pep talk while wrapping a present for Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown), but gets terribly concerned when she spots an empty vodka miniature. It’s really not looking good for Linda. How long will it be until she decides to tackle her alcohol addiction once and for all?
