Gripping and touching scenes are on the horizon for Emmerdale, as a sorrowful twist continues to stir the pot in one of the soap’s families.
Lisa Riley and Natalie J Robb have shared some exclusive snippets, hinting at some major plot points to come. Lisa, who plays Mandy Dingle, was left with “goosebumps” following the taping of emotional scenes that showcased two of her fellow cast members delivering poignant performances.
The upcoming episodes promise to deliver a rollercoaster of “mixed emotions” to viewers, with Lisa anticipating that fans too will feel “goosebumps”. The Dingles have recently been dealt a heavy blow with the news that Cain Dingle’s son Nate Robinson had been discovered dead.
Upon learning that Nate had been murdered and his body left in a lake for months, the revelation hit even harder given the family’s grievances over Nate’s apparent decision to abandon his daughter Frankie.
Suspicion now runs rampant among the village residents, even as the viewers are privy to the knowledge that it was John Sugden who took Nate’s life and concealed the act. The cast has recently wrapped up filming for Nate’s funeral, foreshadowing heart-wrenching episodes ahead, reports the Mirror.
Lisa shared her experience: “The funeral is so emotional. It was amazing. There are two performance that when you sit and watch them, and we know the script, we know what is happening, but then you see your colleagues perform… I got goosebumps.”

The Dingles’ camaraderie shines through as they celebrate strong performances, with one actor noting: “We love that as the Dingles, when someone does a good storyline you go, ‘you knocked that out of the park tonight’. It’s so nice and you see that, the Dingles will be coming together.”
Natalie J. Robb, who brings Moira Dingle to life, spoke about “heavy” upcoming scenes, saying: “There’s emotional scenes. There’s some really heavy scenes ahead too.
“There’s scenes of confusion, scenes of anger, you get a lot of mixed emotions. But that’s Emmerdale isn’t it. That’s soaps for you.”
Amy Walsh disclosed that her character Tracy, now Nate’s estranged wife, and Cain will soon collaborate to uncover who is behind the killing.
Amy revealed: “Tracy and Cain do a little list together of who it could it be. We have ruled out some people we know.”
When quizzed about a certain John, Amy hinted: “That was left on a bit of a cliffhanger actually. He’s the next name on the list..”
Before the duo dives into detective work, viewers can expect some “feisty” and “nasty” exchanges. With a cautionary tone, Amy added: “Tracy is feisty. The stuff she gets away with doing to Cain, I was nervous on set! I can’t believe I’m doing this to Cain Dingle!”.
“But it’s all brilliant, there’s such brilliant scenes. It gets really nasty between us and then there’s a really nice arc in the story eventually, where things will become a bit clearer. I can’t say too much but there is a lot to look out for.”
