Coronation Street‘s Jack P Shepherd took fans behind the scenes of the show and shared one location he thinks needs more screentime.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner joined the ITV soap in 2000 as David Platt, and has seen his fair share of drama on the cobbles in the 25 years since.

He knows the ins and outs of all the iconic set pieces – from the Rovers Return to The Kabin and Roy’s Rolls Cafe – but there’s one area Jack feels should be on our screens more often.

Waiting for filming to begin, he shared a video on his Instagram Stories taking a look around the set, joking about starting a “petition”.

“Should be more scenes in here,” he said, standing in one of the soap’s famous alleys. “I’m going to do a petition to get more scenes in the alley, ginnel, snicket, whatever you want to bloody call it. Looks good though, don’t it?”

As he continued his walk, he took his followers into the gardens of some of the soap’s most well-known homes.

“I don’t even know whose garden this is. Garden? Yard. Is it Dobbs? It could be Dobbs?” he added, before going into a shed to look at the different props, including paint cans and tools. “I mean, the level of detail, it’s extraordinary.”

It comes after Jack revealed he would be involved in a crossover between Corrie and rival ITV soap Emmerdale.

Speaking to Digital Spy at the British Soap Awards, Jack confirmed he will be part of the hour-long special set to air in January.

He then backtracked on his answer after co-star Ben Price, who plays his brother Nick Tilsley, offered some stern words of advice.

“I don’t know if I am. Not for a fact, I don’t,” Jack continued, adding: “The big key hitters, I think they might have been told. There’s rumours – and I’m sniffing that I might be in the periphery.”

He then laughed: “With my Yorkshire accent. I think I’m in it, talking Yorkshire and they’re like: ‘Where are you from? Are you from Bradford?'”
