The future currently doesn’t look good for fan-favourite Emmerdale couple Cain and Moira, as she finally found out about his one night stand.
Viewers will (unfortunately) recall when Moira was having brain surgery, Cain went and slept with Ruby, his sister-in-law. And up until recently, everyone hoped the secret would stay quiet forever.
But right before Anthony died, he revealed the truth to Caleb. Who then plotted to have Cain sent down for murder, and called him out right before the limo crash. With fans terrified we may lose Cain and Moira, Natalie J Robb hinted that may not be the case.
What does the future hold in Emmerdale for Cain and Moira?
Last night’s episode (February 18) saw Cain finally tell his wife what happened when she was on the operating table. And she looked rightfully shocked.
Cain and Moira have been absolutely adored by fans for years. And while their marriage has been rocked by cheating scandals and temporary break-ups, this betrayal might just be the one that ruins them.
However, in a twist, Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira, has revealed she is rooting for them to go all the way. Even after everything they have been through.
Speaking at a press event last year, she said: “I think it is really important that they stay together.
“Marriages go through things. There is temptation. There are things that can happen. If everybody just gave up after the first hurdle of marriage, people would just not get married now. It’s so easy to get out now.”
Natalie continued: “A lot of people do go through things. Affairs, different things, financial problems. There could be lots of things that happen that pull you apart. But then things can push you together again. Which I think is nice to play.”
Fans fear we are losing them
While Natalie seems to be very much team Coira, Cain’s latest actions have fans worried we might have reached the end of the road.
Taking to X after last night’s episode, one fan wrote: “Watching Cain’s guilt of telling Moira about Ruby is the most heartbreaking thing I have had to see in all of their relationship over the years.”
Another added: “Cain having to tell Moira that he cheated with Ruby is the most devastating part of this whole week.”
Exactly how Moira reacts is yet to be seen. But we’re sure fans will be in for more emotional scenes between the pair.
