The character has done himself now favours in the eyes of Coronation Street fans

While there was a recent chance for redemption for Kit Green as the heartbreak around his biological mum leaving him as a child, in recent scenes, the character has done himself now favours in the eyes of Coronation Street fans.

As fans of the ITV soap know, Kit wasn’t keen to show his policing colleague Craig Tinker much help and support as he took on his placement with CID last month.

His distracted and rather cruel behaviour saw Craig seek advice from DS Lisa Swain. She was seen encouraging Craig to prove Kit wrong, and let her know if he had any more issues with the detective constable.

But his decision to put back on his uniform later went against him in a devastating way that led to his death at the hands of Mick Michaelis.

Since then, Kit has been focused on the possibility that he is the biological father of Mick and Lou’s son, Brody, as a flashback to 2007 revealed Kit and Lou had a thing when Mick was sent to prison.

Craig’s death has also continued to put a strain on Kit’s working relationship with Lisa, and the inclusion of Brody is also having some detrimental consequences.

During Monday’s (June 16) trip to Weatherfield that Carla was seen waiting at No.6 Coronation Street to view the property alongside Alya Nazir.

But Lisa was having quite the day of it. Lisa witnessed troubled teen Brody Michaelis wind Daniel Osbourne up and not seeming quite herself, she he ended up arresting Brody, and everyone watching the incident unfold believed she was overreacting.

At the station, Brody was thrown in a cell but tried to tell Swain that he needed the pills that were in his pocket. But the detective sargeant didn’t believe him, and it led to Brody suffering a seizure on his own.

She was quickly punished as later, her boss Costello told Lisa that she’d be put on restrictive duties for as long as he thinks is necessary. And it was Kit who reported her.

Following the news, Corrie fans were quick to react. @daisysmidgeley fumed: “Kit reporting lisa, when he’s done many, MANY much worse things…i need this woman hating wank stain to rot in hell.”

@Fake_TV_Chef commented: “I never want to see Lisa give Kit the benefit of the doubt again. She may have big sister vibes but he will always have resentful little brother energy. #Corrie #Swarl.” @SophieLWheeler1 wrote: “Would absolutely love to see Kit get taken down a peg or 2 after how he’s spoken and acted towards Lisa tonight #corrie #swarla.”

@CrisisOfChaos posted: “Lisa getting it in the neck, while Kit’s got away scott free with all the shit he’s done #Corrie.” @KatieJukesy added: “So Kit gets Mick beaten up, punches him in the street, lied to the police, put fire explosives in an innocent women’s shop and hes suddenly Mr Perfect? give me a break. #Corrie.”
