Chicago Fire’s Eamonn Walker Says Goodbye in On-Set Video: ‘Best Job of My Life’

Eamonn Walker‘s split from Chicago Fire appears nothing but amicable in a

In an Instagram video shared by NBC and Wolf Entertainment on Thursday

, the Chicago Fire cast and crew applaud Walker as he wraps production on the long-running drama series. “I just want to say: Best cast. Best crew. Best production. Best job of my life. Thank you,” Walker tells the crowd after finishing his final scene as Chief Wallace Boden. Watch the sweet moment in full below:

Walker’s departure as a Chicago Fire series regular was first reported in early May, though a reason for his exit was not specified. But Walker reportedly won’t be gone for good: According to our sister site Deadline, the actor is expected to appear in a recurring capacity in the future. Chicago Fire was previously renewed for a 13th season, which will air on NBC this fall in its usual Wednesdays-at-9 time slot.
