Chicago Fire Season 12 Trailer Reveals Brett & Casey’s Unconventional Wedding

Chicago Fire season 12’s new trailer offers the first proper look at Casey and Brett’s wedding.

After a tumultuous dating arc, the pair unexpectedly get engaged in the Chicago Fire season 11 finale.

Admittedly, the process of them getting married after that,

especially given their current long-distance set-up is quite swift. Nonetheless, it’s still exciting to see them tie the knot in Chicago Fire season 12, episode 6 “Port In The Storm.”

The new Chicago Fire season 12 trailer for next week’s episode has been shared by NBC (via TV Promos) showing Firehouse 51 during Casey and Brett’s wedding ceremony. Watch the clip below:

Despite the pair holding their ceremony in a fish shop, it seems like the team all rallied to make the venue look presentable. Chief Boden officiates the wedding, with the rest of Firehouse 51 in the audience. Kelly Severide also comes home in time for the ceremony, while his wife, Stella Kidd adorably holds Baby Julia as his parents get hitched.

What To Expect From Casey And Brett’s Chicago Fire Wedding

Throughout Chicago Fire season 12, Brett has been busy planning the wedding while Casey is back in Portland, Oregon for his work. Early on, their short and long-term plans have been established, and it looks like they will come to fruition. The pair decide to get married back in Chicago, in front of their Firehouse 51, but after tying the knot, Brett will leave Chief Boden’s squad and follow Casey across the country. Her departure is motivated by Kara Killmer’s exit from One Chicago.

Elsewhere, Chicago Fire season 12, episode 6 will also see the reunion of Kelly and Casey — one thing that the trailer made sure to highlight. Despite Casey’s return to Firehouse 51, the friends haven’t shared the screen in quite a while since Taylor Kinney was on temporary personal leave during the back half of season 11. Seeing them sit down in front of Firehouse 51 like old times is surely going to be nostalgic for many viewers who have been following Chicago Fire since the beginning.

Chicago Fire Season 12 Subtly Makes Up For Its Most Ridiculous Season 11 Plot Twist

Several big changes in Chicago Fire season 12 benefit one character and it’s One Chicago’s way of making up for its ridiculous season 11 tragedy.

The episode also marks Brett’s final outing in Chicago Fire. This means that immediately after she and Casey tie the knot, she would be flying with him across the country to her new home in Portland, Oregon. Overall, it will be a bittersweet ending, since Firehouse 51 will have to say goodbye to one of its longest members.
