Chicago Fire Loves Ruining Relationships: Fans Fear Another Favorite Couple is Next

Otis and Lily, Brett and Casey, Violet and Evan… Are we in for another heart-wrenching

breakup? In almost any series, no matter what it is about – superheroes, medieval magic or

mysterious murders – there will definitely be a love line or two. In the 90s, Brazilian soap

operas were watched by whole families. In the 21st century, soap operas have been replaced by procedurals, but in addition to investigations, saving lives and legal troubles, such series still devote a significant part of their running time to romantic storylines. Of course, Chicago Fire has not escaped this fate, where love passions boil no less than the rescuers’ professional lives. Over 12 seasons, viewers have witnessed the rise and fall of many couples’ feelings. Chicago Fire’s Most Painful Breakup Was Lily and Otis One of the most heartbreaking breakups for fans happened between Otis and Lily.

The two met in season six when Otis bought Lily’s father’s bar and renamed it Molly’s North. Although this relationship was not given much screen time, the sincere feelings between the two immediately captivated viewers. But as it turned out, the happy story of Otis and Lily could not last long – in the eighth season, Otis died a heroic death when he sacrificed himself after a boiler explosion. Lily’s grief was so overwhelming that she eventually closed Molly’s North, which was a constant reminder of her dead boyfriend. And the list of couples who did not live happily ever after on Chicago Fire goes on and on.

Fans have noticed the tendency of writers and producers to break up their favorite couples and are now wary of the characters’ happiness, knowing that they can break up at any moment, sometimes for the silliest reasons. Will Stella and Severide Be Next Victims of the Screenwriters? Stella and Severide had a long history of ups and downs, but in the end they got married, found peace in each other, and became better people because of their relationship, but now fans are worried that they might repeat the fate of the other numerous Chicago Fire couples.

“I don’t want them to get divorced but I see they’re writing a lot of drama for them and Stella can be a bit too possessive sometimes. I’d love if they could be happy together but that ain’t happening anytime soon,” Reddit user SCP_radiantpoison wrote. The writers of Chicago Fire often add drama where it could have been avoided. In doing so, the show’s creators are trying to attract a new audience to the show, but it often ends up having the opposite effect – longtime fans simply stop watching Chicago Fire because they cannot take another breakup. We can only hope that the writers will listen to the complaints of the fans and leave the couples they brought together themselves alone.
