Chicago Fire: Dermot Mulroney Joins Season 13 as New Chief

The character comes to the Windy City from Miami, where he was chief

for a while, but he actually started his career with CFD. His leadership style is

different from that of beloved Chief Wallace Boden. The firefighter drama

also said goodbye to two other regulars from last season: Kara Killmer’s paramedic Sylvie Brett left the Windy City after finally marrying Matt Casey (played by Jesse Spencer) in Episode 6, while Alberto Rosende left the show in the Season 12 premiere, when his character, firefighter Blake Gallo, moved closer to family.

Mulroney’s many TV credits include Hanna, Shameless, Secret Invasion, Station 19, Crisis, Enlightened, and USA Network’s The Purge. But the actor is perhaps best known for his roles in romantic comedies like My Best Friend’s Wedding, The Family Stone, The Wedding Date, and more recently, Anyone But You. He also co-stars in the upcoming Starz series The Hunting Wives.
