Things haven’t been right between Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Moira
(Natalie J Robb) for a while in Emmerdale, but would he really dare cheat?!
Moira’s mad behaviour has led her to believe that Cain is doing the dirty,
but now the seed is planted in her mind, it festers until it gets way out of hand and ends in violence. She’s on the lookout for any untoward behaviour from her husband, and she’s convinced she’s found it when she spots him having banter with Ruby (Beth Cordingly). Cain and Ruby? Surely not. But Moira instantly believes there’s a connection there, and an intimate squeeze of Cain’s arm from Ruby triggers Moira’s dark side.
With anger raging under the surface, Moira barges into Ruby’s house and accuses her of trying to sleep with Cain. Ruby finds it utterly laughable, but before she has time to compute the accusation, and before Cain and Caleb’s arrival can prevent anything happening, Moira headbutts her. Ruby might deserve quite a lot for all of her various crimes and acts of revenge, but a Scot’s skull to the nose for something she didn’t actually do is not the one.
Moira’s ready to go several more rounds but Cain restrains her and leads her away. Caleb (Will Ash) is left scrambling to appease his wife with promises of sorting Moira out. Cain wrestles Moira back to the farm, completely baffled by her actions. When he realises that she’s forgotten to go to her blood tests, he properly loses it and storms out, leaving Moira confused and upset. But an arrival at the Farm and Moira’s reaction to them is about to cause bedlam for her marriage. Her behaviour is so uncharacteristic and inexplicable, is there something going on in her head?
