Emmerdale‘s Cain Dingle comes up with an idea to say goodbye to his murdered son Nate Robinson in his own way next week.
Following Tracy Robinson’s decision to ban the entire Dingle clan from Nate’s send-off, Cain has been furiously trying to get her to change her mind.
But when Sarah Sugden steps in next week, she makes her grandad realise that nobody can stop the family from giving Nate the goodbye he deserves…
“Sarah can see how much her Grumpy is suffering, and she wants to help in any way she can,” our source explains. “What she makes him realise is that being banned from the official funeral doesn’t mean that the family can’t still say goodbye to Nate – in fact, quite the opposite.
“Without all the red tape involved in a church ceremony, the family can go all-out to make sure Nate’s laid to rest in proper Dingle style.”
It’s clear that Sarah’s words strike a chord, and Cain is soon setting about arranging a good old Dingle farewell for his beloved son.
As we know from Dingle patriarch Zak’s recent funeral, the rowdy clan isn’t exactly known for sticking to tradition – but Nate’s send-off is bound to include many heart-warming stories and plenty of free-flowing booze.
Meanwhile, the bitter dispute between Tracy and the Dingles shows no sign of abating as the investigation into Nate’s murder rumbles on.
Tracy remains convinced that Cain bumped off his son, while the entire Dingle clan are sure that Nate’s widow is the culprit – while all the while the real killer is hiding in plain sight right under all their noses…
“John had no reason to want Nate dead,” our insider says, “plus he’s being so supportive of Tracy, and she just sees him as a good guy who wants to help her. But how long before people start questioning why he’s so certain that Tracy can’t have murdered Nate?”
As the Dingles set about arranging a fitting memorial for their late relative, how will Tracy react when she discovers their plans? And how long before the police finally charge somebody with Nate’s murder?
