Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly has spoken about the possibility of her character Ruby Fox-Miligan killing her evil father Anthony.
Ruby has been named as one of six suspects in the ITV soap’s new whodunit storyline, which sees Anthony killed off next week.
Emmerdale recently revealed that Anthony sexually abused Ruby when she was a teenager.
Upcoming episodes see several characters find out about Anthony’s disturbing crimes, which leads to him being killed by an unknown culprit.

Discussing Ruby’s possible motives, Beth explained: “Anthony, her father, abused her as a child and is now making her life a nightmare by threatening to expose her infidelity with Cain to Caleb.
“He’s also making friends with everyone in the village and Ruby is struggling to maintain her secret of 30 years. He’s manipulating Steph and turning her against Ruby. He denies any wrongdoing in the past to Ruby and appears to be making Ruby’s current life hell.
“He implies anything that happened in the past was not his fault and that Ruby is largely to blame. He appears to want to destroy her current chances of happiness with Caleb and the rebuilding of her relationship with Steph.”

Asked whether Ruby is capable of killing someone, Beth replied: “Ruby did attack Ethan before when she felt he had done her son wrong. She effectively left him for dead. She felt remorse afterwards, though, and a lot of guilt.”
Beth added that Ruby would be left with “very conflicting feelings of guilt” if she does turn out to be Anthony’s killer.
Caleb, Cain, Chas, Aaron, Nicola and Laurel are the other characters who have been named by Emmerdale as official suspects in the mystery.
Early next week, a gunshot is fired and Anthony’s body is later found by someone. Beyond that, exact details of how the drama plays out are being kept under wraps until the episodes air.
