EastEnders will air a surprise twist this evening with serial killer Gray Atkins. We haven’t
heard much about Gray since he was arrested and charged for multiple murders including that
of his wife Chantelle Atkins, Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi. He made his exit back in 2022,
when his crimes finally came to light. Speaking about his exit at the time, Toby shared: “It is really…. we filmed some stuff the other day and I actually got quite emotional just talking out loud about this whole journey as Gray because it’s been such a rollercoaster, to see it climax and to see it all come together it did actually affect me more than I thought it would.” Gray murdered three people Gray killed Chantelle first – having subjected her to months of domestic abuse. Realising that she could never be free of him unless she left for good, she decided to flee with the children – with the help of Kheerat.
Gray realised what she was doing before she could get out, and in heartbreaking scenes, Gray pushed her so hard she landed on the open dishwasher and was impaled by a knife. Tina was killed by Gray and died only three months after Chantelle was killed. She was going to go on the run for the attack on Ian Beale, which she didn’t actually commit, but when she saw the detective and was told she was exonerated, she realised Gray had been meddling and went to confront him.
That ended in her death and her body was buried under the Argee Bhajee. Kush was murdered by Gray when he pushed him in front of a tube train. Kush and Whitney were planning to run away, and with Gray being obsessed with Whitney, the fact he was causing her to move away was enough to kill. Tonight, there will be an update about Gray – as Bernie and Chelsea learn he is selling the house. An estate agents board is installed in the front garden of the house at No.1 and they soon realise Gray is selling up. Could this lead to a return for the evil serial killer?
