embark on a romance. However, we fear they’ll be over before they even begin… and it’s not for the reason you may think

(or maybe it is). Not only that, but she’ll lose out on love on another front as well, and it’s all linked to an upcoming return

that’s set to wreak a little havoc. Just as Hope and Carter’s flirty feelings for one another turned into a series of office kisses, Liam resurfaced with a pitch for him and his ex to reunite, complete with a video tribute and an unsolicited smackeroo.

Hope’s intial response was to politely wave her former husband’s advances away like a gnat at a picnic, but pressuring her to reunite their family for Beth’s sake is clearly playing on her guilt. Not enough to make her turn away from the possibility of a sexy romp with the chisled Carter in his candlelit loft, but enough that we can easily imagine her eventually agreeing to give it another shot with Liam.

That, of course, would end her relationship with Carter before it even gets off the ground, but it might be worth if it she and Liam were to end up with their happily ever after. Therein lies the catch.
As Liam was declaring to Hope that he’d finally seen the error of his ways, and understood, at long last, the pain he’d caused her by going back and forth between her and another woman, a major test of his flip-floppiness was checking her bags at an airport Down Under.

Yes, Ashleigh Brewer is set to make another return as Ivy Forrester, and it appears to be a more permanent stay compared to her previous pop-in, during which she kissed Liam and gushed over how much she’d missed their connection, raising not only Liam’s blood pressure, but Steffy’s eyebrows.

The problem with Ivy’s return, which happens this week, is clear. If Hope reluctantly decides to put aside her reservations, walk away from a romance with Carter, and give Liam another chance to prove he’s a reformed waffler and one-woman man, she’s fully going to live to regret it. We all know that Liam’s head will be turned by Ivy. It’s just who he is. Hope’s made it clear she won’t be competing for a man ever again, so Liam will be out the door of cozy cabin with quickness.

Carter, having gone out on a limb to profess his feelings for Hope and protect her fashion line, isn’t likely to be up for being the consolation prize, so Hope will have lost out on romance on two fronts right on the heels of her failed infatuation with Finn and her heartbreaking split with Thomas.
