Forget the mother of all shocks, upcoming EastEnders episodes will see Billy Mitchell
(Perry Fenwick) get the brother of all shocks as dad Stevie Mitchell (Alan Ford) confirms
he has another sibling. Shortly after Stevie arrived in Albert Square, viewers started to
grow suspicious that he was hiding a secret. He told the likes of Billy and Honey (Emma Barton) that he doesn’t have an ulterior motive, and just wants to get to know his family. But we know that’s not quite true. While Stevie isn’t hiding a dark secret from the Mitchells (as far as we know!), it was recently confirmed he does have a second family and next week, they finally arrive. Billy’s in for quite the surprise After Stevie confronts Will (Freddie Phillips) about the stolen money from Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) fundraiser, he loses his temper and ends up pushing his granddad to the floor. Thankfully, Phil (Steve McFadden) finds Stevie and calls an ambulance. In the hospital, Billy tells Stevie that he’s glad he’ll be okay, but they are finished as a family. As they return home, Will lags behind and apologises to Stevie.
They chat, but Stevie then comes face to face with Teddy (Roland Manookian), his son. Sending Will off, Stevie lies to Teddy about where he’s been and doesn’t tell him who Will is, but curious Teddy makes it his mission to find out the truth and heads to Albert Square. In the week, Billy experiences further stress when he receives a message from Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) informing him that Will is in the bar with a man she doesn’t recognise. Rushing to the pub, Billy fears a fight is about to break out until Stevie reveals some news – Teddy is his brother. As Billy deals with the aftermath of this massive revelation, he will also be introduced to Teddy’s children Harry (Elijah Holloway) and Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman).
On the upcoming storyline, Roland told us: ‘Billy and Phil are there protect the youngest member of their clan. They find out there’s a mysterious man with their boy, so their motive is to find out exactly what is going on. ‘Teddy is a little bit shocked by the impact, and the thought of what’s about to go down, but he does remain calm in the situation to get to the bottom of it. All I can say is there’s going to be some fireworks.’ ‘It’s two bulls locking horns with those characters, and quite differently because I think they’re at different ends of the spectrum of alpha males’ Roland added. ‘Phil has a more aggressive approach, and a physical presence, whereas Teddy is as fierce and as dangerous as someone like Phil, but his strategies are just a little bit more diplomatic because he’s trying to get the best outcome for himself.’
