Since joining Emmerdale in 2009, Natalie Robb has been involved in numerous dramatic and controversial storylines, with this barn fire being one of the most explosive. Before her role as Moira, Natalie made waves on rival soap EastEnders and was a familiar face in “Take the High Road” as a child. At 49, Natalie’s acting career began in Glasgow, where she was spotted by director Alan McMillan and went on to study at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Natalie’s career kicked off at the tender age of nine, appearing in an STV docudrama alongside Tom Ky, and she won the BBC Young Entertainer of the Year award as a teenager. Her breakthrough came with her role as Trish McDonald in “Take the High Road,” which aired from 1991 to 1998. In 2006, she made a notable appearance in EastEnders as Gemma Clewes, the mistress of Max Branning, played by Jake Wood.
Natalie’s soap career also includes a role as Dr. Jude Carlisle in “Doctors” from 2001 to 2004, followed by her stint as PS Andrew Dunbar in “The Bill” until 2005. She has appeared in various long-running TV shows such as “Waterloo Road,” “London’s Burning,” “Where the Heart Is,” “Dream Team,” and “Hollyoaks.”
Beyond acting, Natalie has ventured into music, previously being part of the band The Kinky. In 1997, she released a track titled “Keep Your Love” with the dance troupe Partisan.
