the villainous’ lawyer’s continued impact on Albert Square. There are only a handful of remaining Walford residents with a link to Gray, one of them being his second wife Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams). Another is Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris), half-sister to Gray’s first wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer), whom he murdered. In scenes yet to air, Chelsea and Bernie are set for a shock. The pair discover a ‘For Sale’ sign at No.1 and they learn Gray is selling up. The current occupants include Chelsea, Bernie, Felix Baker (Matthew Morrison) and Jordan Fox, son of Chelsea and Gray. Back in 2019, Gray arrived on Albert Square with Chantelle and their kids. Chantelle’s family including mum Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) and her brood had already settled in the area.

Initially depicted as a loving husband and father, Gray’s storyline took a dark turn. He and Chantelle were placed at the centre of a harrowing domestic abuse storyline. He managed to escape punishment for almost two years afterwards. However, the villainous lawyer committed two more killings – Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami).

By March 2022, viewers finally saw Gray brought to justice as the character was arrested for his crimes. THE beloved British soap has been captivating audiences for decades. Writing online at the time, one fan commented: “Gray was a brilliant character, he would go to any length to get what he wanted.” Another remarked: “I think the reason the writers had Gray kill Tina and Kush aswell was to show the audience just how dangerous he truly is”.
