BBC EastEnders Louisa Lytton’s one-word response as she addresses Ruby Allen’s return

Ruby Allen is set to make an explosive return to Albert Square

as Louisa Lytton reprises the role later this year.

EastEnders viewers last saw Ruby when she left Walford

in September 2021, shortly after she claimed to be pregnant with Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) child, but Martin refused to believe her having discovered that Ruby had spouted a series of lies which led to Stacey Slater’s (Lacey Turner) false imprisonment.

Whilst Martin has always been adamant Ruby was lying about her pregnancy, viewers learnt that she was in fact telling the truth after Ruby’s positive pregnancy test was revealed as she was driven away from Albert Square in a police car after she was arrested for the Slater cannabis farm when Stacey’s mum Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) set her up for the crime.

With a potential child in tow, it’s safe to say that Ruby’s return will cause chaos for Martin and Stacey who both thought they had seen the back of her for good. Opening up about her return at the National TV Awards last month, Louisa teased what fans can expect, saying: “We’re going to be seeing where she’s been for the past three years. In true EastEnders form, there’s lots of drama but it’s good to be back.”

Louisa has already started filming her scenes which will air later this year. Ruby first appeared in 2005, as the daughter of infamous crime boss Johnny Allen (Billy Murray). and the actress said she’d love to see her on-screen father return from the dead.
