Back at 51! Look Who’s Returning For Chicago Fire Season 13

The cast of Chicago Fire Season 13 is getting bigger. The show has announced a

few more names, which will join the already-established Season 12 regulars. And not

content with that, they have also promoted a familiar face to series regular for

Season 13. But who is coming back to Chicago Fire for Season 13 and what roles will they play in Firehouse 51? Who Are the Chicago Fire Season 13 New Cast Members? Deadline is reporting that the show has cast KaDee Strickland, who is better known for Private Practice and Cruel Summer for a recurring role in the upcoming Season 13. She is set to portray Monica Pascal, the estranged wife of new Fire Chief Dom Pascal, who will be taking the place of Eamonn Walker’s Wallace Boden at Firehouse 51. Pascal will be played by Dermot Mulroney, who is also joining the show for Season 13, in a series-regular role. Walker exited the show as a series regular after his character, Battalion Chief Wallace Boden was promoted to Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department.

Violet Mikami and Sam Carver - Chicago Fire

At the time of Boden’s departure, he had expressed a desire for Christopher Herrmann to succeed him as Chief, but that is clearly not happening, as Pascal will be stepping into Boden’s shoes. How Herrmann and the rest of Firehouse 51 will react to Pascal, and his estranged wife, remains to be seen. Chicago Fire has also made another casting change going into Season 13, by upping Jake Lockett to series regular, according to TVLine. Lockett, who plays Sam Carver on the show, has played the character for 33 episodes so far. He first appeared in the Season 11 premiere, as a former fire academy classmate of Stella Kidd, who comes to Firehouse 51 as a potential recruit for Truck 81. He initially clashes with Kidd, but after opening up about his troubled family past, he becomes a permanent part of Truck 81 and the Firehouse, developing a specially close relationship with his Lt.

Later, Carver even strikes up a romance with paramedic Violet Mikami, who mistakes his feeling with Stella to be of a romantic nature at first and thinks their relationship is just casual. In the Season 12 finale, Carver takes a furlough from work after confessing his love for Violet. This had prompted fans to fear that Carver could be exiting the show, but the news that Lockett is coming back as a series regular puts those fears to rest and ensures there is a future for the relationship between him and Violet, even if things might look bleak at the moment. The show also confirmed Jocelyn Hudon, who plays Violet’s new paramedic partner Lyla Novak, would be joining Chicago Fire as a series regular for Season 13. Chicago Fire also stars Taylor Kinney, Miranda Rae Mayo, Joe Miñoso, Christian Stolte, Daniel Kyri, and Hanako Greensmith. The show is set to return to NBC this fall as part of the Wednesday One Chicago block alongside Chicago Med and Chicago P.D.
