Emmerdale viewers are predicting a murder plot as Jai Sharma continues his investigation into the strange behaviour of Caleb and Steph Miligan, as well as the disappearance of Anthony Fox. Jai is determined to uncover any secrets held by his boss Caleb, with whom he has had a strained relationship since being deceived by him last year.

Anthony’s mysterious absence, after failing to show up at the depot where Jai and Caleb work, has only fuelled Jai’s suspicions.

Fans are aware that Anthony was actually killed in the same building by his daughter Ruby Miligan, with John Sugden disposing of the body after mistakenly believing Aaron Dingle to be the murderer. Several characters, including Chas and Cain Dingle, Caleb and Steph, are involved in concealing the crime and the actions of Ruby, Aaron and John.

Steph recently discovered the truth about her grandfather’s disappearance, as well as the shocking revelation that Anthony, who raped her mother Ruby as a teenager, was her biological father.

In recent weeks, the behaviour of Caleb, Ruby and Steph has been increasingly peculiar, something which has not gone unnoticed by Jai. He is suspicious about Anthony’s fate and is convinced that Caleb is hiding something, reports the Mirror.

Jai has been probing, trying to uncover Caleb’s secrets, even going so far as to provoke Steph in an attempt to extract the truth from her.

Jai has been confiding in his ex Laurel about the situation, following a violent encounter between Laurel, her friend Nicola King and Anthony prior to his death. However, Laurel advised Jai to steer clear of the matter, urging him to mind his own business.

He informed her that he suspected Caleb was “up to something” and felt compelled to uncover what it was. Despite this, Laurel cautioned him against further probing, citing their limited knowledge about the Miligans and advising him to stay out of it.

Audiences are now speculating that Jai’s relentless pursuit of the truth about Anthony could lead to his demise if John, who viewers believe is a murderer, chooses to silence him.
