The best-laid plans are brutally foiled in Emmerdale next week – and the ramifications are deadly.
Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is determined to propose to Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) but a night out she is invited on after a limo raffle win puts paid to that idea.
In response, he manages to source another limo and kicks off a boys’ night but disaster strikes with one of the out of control vehicles careering onto a frozen lake which then starts to crack…
Back in the village, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) continues his scheming, with Noah (Jack Downham) collateral damage.
But soon, he realises he has been tricked by Charity (Emma Atkins), meaning his own plot is on the ropes.
Elsewhere, there’s a mega-shock for Caleb Miligan (William Ash) as he finally realises the truth of Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) passionate mistake with Ruby (Beth Cordingly).
Revenge is sure to follow…
Monday February 10
When Charity spills her knowledge of his affair with Dawn, Joe’s more rattled to learn of Kim’s distrust in him.
Joe locates Kim’s audio bug and fakes a positive family phone call. Charity and Sarah remind Noah of all he’d miss at home, should he move to Dubai.
Their plan works and when Noah informs Joe that he won’t be taking the Dubai job, he is spooked by his overreaction to the news.
Tuesday February 11
Noah’s gutted to realise that his tools have been stolen from his van overnight.
Awkward Dawn’s surprised when Charity reveals that she has no intention of telling anybody about the affair but is troubled by Charity’s warning about Joe.
Joe can barely disguise his delight when Noah, forced into a corner, eventually takes him up on his offer.
Dawn’s angry at Joe’s blasé attitude towards Charity’s threats and realises that he doesn’t care about her, or her family’s, welfare after all.
Just when Joe begins to celebrate Noah’s move to Dubai, Charity and Noah reveal that they knew Joe had stolen the tools all along. Joe’s furious to realise that he’s been conned.
Wednesday February 12
Caleb is confused to learn that Steph has been on contraception for most of her adult life. He’s then blindsided to finally realise the truth about Ruby and Cain.
An emotional Caleb does his best to hold it together as he breaks down in a toilet cubicle. When Cain lies about his interactions with Ruby, Caleb’s theory is confirmed. Seething, Caleb’s face darkens, trying his hardest not to attack his brother.
Cain threatens Joe about speaking to Noah. As he leaves, Joe takes a mysterious phone call concerning his brother…
Steph’s enraged to see Cain arrested in connection to her granddad’s disappearance. She’s appalled to think Caleb and Ruby are defending Cain
After Jacob and his mates leave for a big night out, Leyla’s disappointed to discover a small bag of white powder in his bag.
Moira’s horrified when a chunk of her hair falls out and demands Cain leaves her alone. Cain opens up to Charity and Lydia about his situation with Moira. He has a sudden spark of inspiration on how to cheer her up.
Mary’s gutted to see Vanessa and Suzy seemingly happy together.
Thursday February 13
Liam has big plans and buys as many tickets for the raffle for a night out in a limo as he can. He then asks Aaron for Chas’ hand in marriage and despite Aaron’s crabby response, he’s grateful for his blessing and excited for his planned proposal.
Later that day, there’s excitement in The Woolpack as everyone waits for the raffle to be drawn. Liam’s face falls when, despite his efforts, he fails to win the raffle, his romantic plan seemingly foiled.
Before long Liam begs Suzy to get hold of another limo so he can still carry out his surprise.
The girls are excited when Kerry turns her win of the limo use into a night out. Meanwhile, Liam’s elated to have secured his own limo, but is gutted to learn once again his plan is a non-starter as Chas will be out with Kerry.
In an attempt to cover his engagement plans he announces that he’s planned a boys’ night.
Amy and Matty’s meeting with a social worker doesn’t go to plan.
Friday February 14
Main Street’s chaotic as the two groups make their way to their respective limos. When the limos are dropped off with no drivers it’s up to Charity and Caleb to assume the roles of chauffeur.
Unbeknown to Cain, Caleb is still livid and is determined to avoid being near his brother.
With Liam determined to carry out his plan, he gets Mandy on side for a favour and soon he is once again optimistic for the night ahead.
With the atmosphere in the girls’ limo chaotic and a huge row breaking out in the boys’ limo, the evening takes a dive.
With the drivers both distracted, the two cars swerve off the road. A limo has crashed onto a frozen lake, as the ice cracks leaving one of the groups in a perilous position…
