Are EastEnders stars Lacey Turner and Lillia Turner related?

Mother and daughter duo Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) have had

some big stories during their time in EastEnders – but are the two related?

Lillia, 15, took on the role of Lily four years ago and during that time the

character has given birth to a daughter with neighbour Ricky Mitchell (Frankie Day). The baby, Charli, was named after pop star Charli XCX which touched her mum who thought she’d paid tribute to her much-missed uncle Charlie (Derek Martin).

Meanwhile, Albert Square stalwart Stacey has been embroiled in her own drama after being complicit in the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) on Christmas Day.

Helping five other Walford women bury his body under the floor of the café, the secret looks set to be exposed to more locals in upcoming scenes as Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Callum Highway (Tony Clay) become suspicious.

As the on-screen mother and daughter share the same last name in real life, many fans have been left wondering whether the pair are actually related.

Here’s what we know.

Are EastEnders stars Lacey Turner and Lillia Turner related?

Despite sharing the surname Turner, the pair are not actually related.

In an even stranger coincidence, Lacey does in fact have a sister named Lily Harvey who appeared in the soap from 2011 to 2012 as Shenice Quinn.

Shenice was the daughter of Martina Quinn (Tamara Wall) whom Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) met in Spain.

When she auditioned for the role, the soap’s then executive producer Bryan Kirkwood stated he did not know that she was related to the Stacey Slater slar.

‘Whether by accident or design, I sat down and watched a tape of a very talented young girl,’ he said at the time.

‘And it was only after we decided that I was told it was Lacey’s sister. Lily got the role entirely on her own merits.’

Lacey’s other sister, Daisy Turner, has also lived in soapland.

Also in 2011, Daisy joined the cast of Hollyoaks as Rebecca Massey, one of serial killer Silas Blissett (Jeff Rawle)’s many victims.

At the time of her casting, Daisy spoke about how Lacey and her family encouraged her pursuit of acting.

‘Lacey and I acted as kids. Our mum, Bev, let us do everything – singing, dancing and acting,’ she said.

‘I was at home with my mum and sisters when I got the call to say I’d got the part. Lacey said if I need her, she is there.

‘I suppose there is a bit of pressure because she is very good at what she does. She has done it for years and I am just starting out.’

What storylines are upcoming for the pair?

Next week’s episodes will see Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) face some tough questioning from Callum about Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) involvement in Keanu’s death.

Viewers will remember that Stacey planted the murder weapon, a meat thermometer, in Dean’s flat to frame him as he planned to flee Walford for a new life in the States with daughter Jade (Elizabeth Green).

Callum relays his suspicions to Phil, who then decides to confront Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) about it upfront.

Luckily, Sharon has already tipped her off and the women plan their next move.

With Callum speaking with detectives who worked on the case with a view to finding out more information, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) – who also knows about the incident – has to be quick to throw him off the scent.
