Coronation Street fans can expect fireworks tonight as Todd Grimshaw and Theo Silverton’s affair is exposed.

The secret lovers are caught out as Theo’s wife Danielle heads to Underworld and finds him in a passionate clinch with Todd.

Kit Green plays a key role in Danielle’s discovery, stepping in to protect his new love interest Sarah Barlow amid the unfair backlash she’s receiving.

When Danielle continues to mistakenly accuse Sarah of having an affair with Theo, an unimpressed Kit tells her that she’d be better off speaking to Todd to find out what’s going on.

Danielle takes the tip and heads off to find Todd at Underworld, where she spots him kissing Theo.

Shellshocked Danielle is heartbroken to realise that her entire marriage has been a sham, but what will she do next? And what does the future hold for Todd and Theo?

Fans can see the full consequences when the episode airs at 8pm tonight on ITV1, while it’s also streaming now on ITVX.

Former Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson, who’s playing Danielle, previously teased: “You don’t know what you’re going to get. Initially we must remember that Danielle is grieving, she’s only just lost her mum so her emotions are all over. One minute she can be crying and the next minute she’s shouting at somebody.

“I think if the secret was to come out I can’t imagine she’s going to take it very well. She’s a woman dealing with a lot of very intense emotions right now.”

Asked whether Danielle is an exciting character to play, Natalie replied: “Yes 1000%, which is what really made me excited from the off. This character really hits the ground running and she’s got so much going on internally.

“There’s the secrets, the family unit, the presentational side of things, her upbringing. Getting to play all those layers in one woman is so incredible and why I’m absolutely loving playing her.”
