Celebrity Big Brother’s Jack P Shepherd left fans stunned by suggesting a Coronation Street legend ‘could be dead’.

The David Platt actor has been on the ITV soap since he was just 12-years-old, joining the legendary programme in 2000.

Viewers have got to see David go from being a mischievous child to a sensible adult, along with a view villainous turns from the character over the past 25 years.

During Tuesday night’s (April 22) episode of Celebrity Big Brother, Jack reflected on working with his co-star William Roache.

William has played Ken Barlow since the first episode of Coronation Street all the way back in 1960, making him the longest-serving television star in a continuous role.

Now 92, William continues to perform on the programme, with Ken still involved with some of the show’s biggest storylines in spite of his age.

When quizzed by his housemates about what it was like to work with William, Jack made a shocking confession.

“65 years. While I’ve been in here he could be dead. How would I find out,” he said.

With his fellow famous faces stunned by his comments, Jack provided a hilarious glimpse into his friendship with William.

He said: “I’ve only been working with him for 25 years, he still calls me f***ing David. He calls me David.

“I see him in the corridor and I go ‘morning Bill’ and he goes ‘Ah, David’.”

Those watching the episode at home were stunned by Jack’s comments, taking to Twitter, now known as X, to have their say.

@page_lace30 said: “Jack killed me that bill from Corrie calls him David lol.” @TribalSpaceman added: “We need more of Jack, he’s casually hilarious #cbbuk.”
