“Virgin River” is one of the most popular Netflix productions.

The star of the series, Alexandra Breckenridge,

revealed that she did not expect such success.

“Virgin River” tells the story of nurse Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), who starts working in the titular town, recovers from traumatic events and meets a new love. So far, we have received three series, and Netflix recently announced an order for two more seasons. The star of the series admitted that before the premiere, she did not believe that anyone would want to watch it.

Virgin River: Alexandra Breckenridge doubted the series’ success

Alexandra Breckenridge gave an interview to The Huffington Post in which she talked about her participation in “Virgin River”. The actress emphasized that many promising Netflix series turned out to be failures, which is why she thought the same could happen to her new project:

Breckenridge said she decided not to be discouraged by it and simply treat this very emotional series as an opportunity for professional development.

The actress laughed and added that her series partner, Martin Henderson, still accuses her of doubting “Virgin River”:

Work is currently underway on the set of season 4 of “Virgin River. Who is the father of Mel’s child? Was the fire in Jack’s house an accident? And if not, who is the culprit? We will have to wait for answers. We will see new episodes in 2022.
