Emmerdale show boss Laura Shaw has teased some upcoming spoilers for the soap – and it’s going to be a huge few months.
From Aidan Moore coming out of his coma to Nate’s body being discovered and a return that will cause trouble for one family, we’ve got all the gossip right here.

1. Emmerdale spoilers coming up – John and Aaron’s wedding
Where there’s a wedding, there is drama. Well, in Soapland, at least. And John and Aaron’s will be no different. Laura told Emmerdale Insider and other media: “Those episodes are very brilliant and very excting.”
She continued: ‘What you see there is John’s full of trepidation and excitement, worrying about all his secrets being exposed. What we can say is the wedding plays out across the whole week – Monday to Friday takes place over one day. We’ve got some stylistic stuff in there, John’s having nightmares.”

Aidan Moore
And then she dropped the bombshell we all predicted was coming: Aidan comes out of his coma.
“Aidan is in a coma and I can tell you he’s absolutely not going to be in that coma forever,” Laura shared. “So is he going to wake up? If he does what secrets could he come back with? Is he going to walk in and spoil the wedding? We’ll have to wait and see.”

Nate Robinson
Another secret hanging over John’s happiness is Nate’s body, in the depths of the lake. And he isn’t going to stay sunk forever.
“Equally we know that Nate’s body is still in that lake,” she said. “And I can reveal Nate is not going to stay in the bottom of that lake forever, so when John finds out the lake is being dredged and he knows the body is going to come up, will he make it to his vows? Is he going to be arrested?
“With Nate and Aidan both threatening to ruin the day for John, what lengths is John going to go to to stop that happening?”

2. Revenge on Joe Tate
Joe Tate is going to be victim of a whodunnit next week as his enemies build up. It happens at a lavish birthday party arranged for Lydia and there are many suspects in the frame.
But will he survive the attempt on his life? Laura isn’t telling: “I can tell you one person definitely will be getting their revenge on Joe Tate. But will they succeed in their murderous act?”
She also revealed the plot is “paying homage” to the Who Killed Tom King storyline from 2006 currently playing out in Classic Emmerdale on ITV3.

3. Dylan returns in Emmerdale spoilers
In return news, Dylan will return as Fred Kettle who plays him is on his way back. April’s friend from the streets has been getting clean in rehab after Marlon paid for him to go. Marlon felt guilty for framing him for a drugs theft at the vet’s.
But it seems Dylan’s comeback will cause drama for the family. Laura said: “He’s going to be bringing his past back to the village with him and that’s going to cause a few problems for April and the wider family. We’ve got a couple of exciting new castings joining us for that story.”

4. Big story for Aaron and Mackenzie
Laura also teased a big story coming up towards the end of the summer for Aaron Dingle and Mackenzie Boyd. It will run into autumn too.
“It’s a big week of episodes which is going to be life-changing for those two,” she explained.
And they haven’t forgotten about the remaining Mack flashforward! “We’ve still got that flashforward from the New Year to pay off, it might happen there, we’ll see.”

5. Sarah’s baby twist in Emmerdale spoilers
On screen right now, Sarah is fighting to have a baby. Given her life-limiting condition, it’s proving difficult. Sarah is refusing to accept reality though and is determined to pursue IVF. But will she be successful?
“Sarah has decided she wants to have a baby, that’s going to be a big story for us over the next 12 months,” Laura said. “Also there’s lots of twists and turns and it’s going to cause some ruptures in the whole family.”

6. Emmerdale spoilers: Huge story for Bear
“We have a big storyline for the character of Bear,” Laura teased. “He’s going off screen for a little while, he’ll go missing and when he comes back what you’ll see is a very different Bear in a very different situation.”
Sounds intriguing… She then added: “We’re all going to be watching going: ‘what the hell has happened here?’”
