Losing Vince will be extremely hard on Sharon. Their relationship was a staple throughout Fire Country, stable enough to withstand tragedies and survive. Their long marriage ending so brutally means Sharon will need all the support she can get from her loved ones. She will surely be able to rely on Bode and Mickey, but she also needs a friend.

Fire Country season 4 having to resolve season 3’s cliffhanger ending will mean it has a lot to unpack when it returns. However, in the aftermath of the Leone tragedy, Fire Country should bring back Lilly Crawford, Jake’s mother and Sharon’s best friend. First introduced in Fire Country season 1, episode 7, Lilly helped Sharon without making her feel pitied.

Despite Sharon’s delicate situation due to her kidneys failing and experimental treatments not working, Lilly was able to cheer up Sharon and support her in Fire Country season 1. Their bond showed that Sharon could rely on Lilly, and even if she initially opposed her son donating his kidney to Sharon, she still tried everything to help her best friend.

With the Leones being the main focus of Fire Country season 3, their problems directly involved Sharon, to the point that Sharon’s only storyline independent from them was fighting Oxalta alongside Eve. With Vince’s death heavily impacting Sharon, Fire Country season 4 can finally center on her perspective, and Lilly coming back can help focus attention on Sharon’s feelings.

How Lilly’s Return Could Also Be Needed Not To Turn Jake Into A Villain

Lilly’s return after three years could also be instrumental in redeeming Fire Country’s original villain. While Jake was always considered a second son by the Leones, his wish to become battalion chief caused a rift with Vince. Although they mended fences by season 3’s finale, with Jake moving away for his career, Vince’s death opens up the battalion chief position.
