Coronation Street fans think they have ‘worked out’ who Tim and Sally Metcalfe will end up fostering after an exit was previously confirmed.

Fans have, in recent months, seen Tim trying to convince his wife Sally that they should become foster parents after they were seen helping tragic Mason Radcliffe, who died at the start of this year after being stabbed by his brother.

Sally wasn’t sure at first, but Tim went behind her back with a fostering meeting. Sally did share her reasons not to want to foster, as she was seen last month opening up to Glenda Shuttleworth about being too old to foster.

Tim’s keenness to help children continued when he picked up Lou Michaelis and her two young daughters in his cab as she tried to flee from abusive husband Mick, which came as he brutally killed PC Craig Tinker in the line of duty.

Afterwards, Tim set up an appointment with social services to be considered as a foster parent. Sally was initially angry that he did this without consulting her, but she eventually came around to the idea.

Tim and Sally have since been seen having Shanice and Joanie in their care more often, and after worrying about the girls’ troubled home life, alognside older brother Brody, Tim and Sally reported Lou to social services.

Tim and Sally have been spending more time looking after Lou’s daughters

It’s now led to some Corrie fans thinking it will be the two youngsters that Tim and Sally will end up fostering, with it already confirmed that Lou will exit sometime this summer.

@threethirteen13 asked: “Anyone else think that Tim and Sally will end up fostering Lou’s girls?” @RyanSoapKing25 posted: “Sally & Tim will definitely end up adopting Lou’s kids. They give young Sophie & Rosie vibes. #Corrie.”

@TVMusings22 commented: “So Lou’s either gonna bounce or she will go to prison? Leaving the kids with Tim and Sally? Brody stays for bonding sessions with Daddy Kit. Alternatively Lou and the kids just leave but I’m not getting that vibe. #Corrie.”

@BevFink wrote: “Lou will get something wrong & get nicked then Tim & Sally will end up with the girls #Corrie.” @HasanHussain777 shared: “Not long until Lou does a runner and leaves the girls with Sally and Tim #Corrie.”

@Wee_Westie29 added: “Lou should be grateful, Tim and Sally looked after HER kids. She even said herself that Joanie and Shanice would have been better off with Tim and Sally. #Corrie #CoronationStreet @itvcorrie.”
