As Nate Robinson’s murder investigation continues in Emmerdale, fans have been left baffled by one key detail.
Nate’s body was recently found in the lake, with Tracy Robinson then being quickly informed that her husband was dead.
Fans now can’t believe that Nate was identified so quickly and through his dental records… And, they have a point!

Nate’s body found in Emmerdale
We know that John Sugden killed Nate Robinson just before he was due to set off for a fresh start in the Shetlands (it’s always the way in soap, isn’t it?!)
However, for the past nine months, poor Nate’s body has just been sitting in the lake waiting to be found.
Well, Kyle announced the news the other week that he saw a body be pulled out of the lake, leading Ruby to jump to the wrong conclusions and believe that the body was Anthony’s.
However, Tracy and Cain Dingle were soon informed by police that the body belonged to Nate Robinson.
When Cain asked to see his son, he was told that it wouldn’t be wise. Nate’s body was so decomposed that he was only identifiable through his dental records (very grim).

Emmerdale fans confused over Nate death detail
But, how would the police know to check Nate’s dental records if he wasn’t even reported as missing? That’s the question on many fans’ lips.
The only thing we can think of is that Nate’s bracelet on his hand gave them some sort of clue… But, fans are still really baffled.
Taking to X, one fan asked: “How was Nate identified by his dental records when he wasnât even reported missing? He wouldnât have even been on their radar.”
In a similar comment on Reddit, another person added: “They identified Nateâs dental records without knowing he was missing. I believe thereâs a process in which the police have to know someone is missing before they can go down that path.”
A third fan shared: “Yeah that one got me too. He wasn’t missing. How did they know to look for specifically his dental record? How did they know who his dentist was?”
