EastEnders confirms unexpected Kat and Alfie wedding outcome in early iPlayer release

EastEnders has confirmed the outcome of Kat Slater and Alfie Moon’s wedding day, after Kat decided to call off their nuptials.

The couple have been preparing to tie the knot for the third time, staging a fake wedding photoshoot and planning to get married for real before making things official next week.

But the day quickly descended into chaos, with a stolen limo and broken-down bus putting a spanner in the works, and Kat decided that she didn’t want to marry Alfie at all.

In the latest episode, Kat was furious that Alfie had prioritised the wedding arrangements over speaking to Tommy about the adult content on the laptop – and that he had failed on both counts.

Alfie was heartbroken by Kat’s doubts about their future, and as a huge row broke out, he angrily ended their relationship for good.

Kat sought comfort from Jean, who gave her a stern talking to. She accused her of self-sabotage and told her that Alfie has only ever tried to make her happy.

Meanwhile, Alfie was forced to get Phil’s help to fix the bus. Hearing what had happened, Phil told his former love rival that he’d be foolish to throw away his relationship, having spent so long trying to win Kat back.

Both realising that they’d made a terrible mistake, Kat and Alfie found each other in the Square and desperately made amends, happily agreeing that the wedding was back on.

While they’d missed their slot with the celebrant, Mo hilariously stepped in to the role and Kat and Alfie got married on the top deck of the bus in front of a big crowd.

At the reception in The Vic, Tommy gave an emotional tribute to his mum and dad – but Joel was annoyed that he’d changed the speech and hadn’t said what he’d told him to.

Later, Joel continued to get his claws into Tommy, as he showed him a video of an influencer with dangerous views about women in frightening scenes.

It seems that there will be more trouble to come for Kat and Alfie, with Alfie having to suddenly leave Walford next week.

But for now, the blissfully happy couple left their reception to hide away on the bus and watch the stars and the moon together.
