Emmerdale viewers are left puzzled as to why the police haven’t yet located the supposed removal company that cleared out Nate Robinson’s belongings following his murder, which would lead them straight to his killer, John Sugden.

The investigation into Nate’s (Jurell Carter) death is in full swing after his body was recently found in the lake, where it had lain for months.

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was the first to be questioned about his son’s murder when the police learned he had assaulted Nate prior to his disappearance.

Upon revealing to detectives that he had evidence of attempts to reach Nate via his mobile phone, Cain was released from custody but remains a suspect.

In an unexpected turn of events, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) was next in line for questioning by the police, but he managed to deny any involvement convincingly, reports Belfast Live.

He also clarified that Cain was attempting to save Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) from a barn fire on the day Nate vanished, ruling him out as a suspect.

On Wednesday (June 11), Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) braced herself for the worst as she faced questioning over a shameful secret she’s been hiding.

Tracy found herself cornered when the police questioned her covert use of her estranged husband Nate’s credit card months after his death.

An official search of Tracy’s house results in the discovery of Nate’s missing phone, planted by the actual murderer, John, in an attempt to divert suspicion away from himself and Cain.

Down at the station, Tracy finds herself accused of murder and covering her tracks by retaining Nate’s phone.

As she answers the detectives’ inquiries with confidence, knowing she’s innocent, Tracy’s assurance falters when confronted with a secretive chapter from the recent past.

Viewers are aware that Tracy turned to using Nate’s bank card in desperation to care for their daughter Frankie, something that now casts her in a suspicious light to the police.

The speculation about her actions intensifies as the police consider Tracy’s motives, something which didn’t escape Emmerdale fans who noted an oversight in the investigation: the unidentified individual who collected Nate’s belongings – could this lead to John being caught?
