Emmerdale fans believe they’ve “uncovered” Dawn Fletcher’s latest plan, and it’s not looking great for Belle Dingle.
Dawn (Olivia Bromley) has certainly had a rollercoaster of late, after she began an affair with villain Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) earlier in the year.
After a heart-wrenching split from her husband, Billy (Jay Kontzle), their daughter Clemmie Reed (Mabel Addison) walked in on her mum sharing a kiss with Joe in the kitchen.
Following the incident, Joe intimidated the young girl into keeping quiet about the encounter, threatening that she’d be thrown back into care if she said anything. The petrified child eventually confided in Billy about what had happened.
Last month, a number of Joe’s enemies converged at Home Farm for Lydia Dingle’s (Karen Blick) 50th birthday party, which took a shocking turn when Joe was thrown out of an upstairs window.
It was later revealed that Dawn was, in fact, the culprit, reports Leicestershire Live.
Dawn Fletcher has gone into business with Belle Dingle
Joe has since managed to make it back home to carry on with his recovery, and has also reignited a romance with Dawn.
During Monday’s (June 2) episode, viewers watched as Joe surprised Dawn with an impromptu romantic lunch at Home Farm. Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) then dropped by to enquire about hosting a wedding on the estate.
Dawn immediately agreed to it, before Joe asked: “How is business? Must be hard by yourself.”
Belle responded: “Well, given the fact my colleagues and very good friends d.i.e.d in a pointless accident, you’re sharp yeah. And I’ve just had to go to Scotland, so I’m behind on everything and it’s beyond stressful.”
Soap fans will vividly remember Joe’s role in orchestrating the catastrophic limo crash that tragically ended the lives of Belle’s Take a Vow co-workers, Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough).
Joe notably drugged his brother, Noah Dingle (Jack Downham), with a malevolent scheme to steal his kidney.
Joe Tate secretly offered Dawn a loan
This led to Charity (Emma Atkins), Noah’s mother, desperately swerving the limousine into the icy lake after spotting Noah disoriented on the street in the d.e.a.d of night.
Elsewhere in last night’s episode, Joe discussed the prospect of launching a wedding venue business at Home Farm with Dawn, though she had alternate plans.
Dawn showed up at Take a Vow with a partnership proposal for Belle: “You’re stressing out about running a business all on your own, so why don’t I become your new business partner?
“I’ve got loads of experience working with Kim, managing clients and suppliers, and a budget that is way bigger than yours.”
While Belle was initially dubious due to Dawn’s connection with Joe, her worries were eased when Dawn assured her that their venture would be completely independent of him, prompting Belle to agree to the partnership.
Later, Joe suggested Dawn would need a substantial investment to gain influence over Belle, and proposed a loan to cement her position.
