The latest round of EastEnders spoilers have revealed Kat and Alfie are set to call off their wedding over an explicit video.

Fan favourite couple Kat Slater and Alfie Moon began seeing each other again six months ago, following a tricky period for their family on the BBC soap.

They first began dating in 2002, when Alfie was introduced to the show – only for Kat to begin seeing gangster Andy Hunter.

However, Alfie eventually managed to win her over and marry her on Christmas Day in one of the show’s most iconic episodes.

The pair broke up for the first time after their marriage shattered when Alfie saw a tape of Kat cheating on him with Andy Hunter. But they were back together by 2010.

Upon their return to the show after five years away, Kat was pregnant after a fling with Alfie’s cousin Michael Moon, with Alfie raising Tommy like his own following the infamous child swap storyline

Having to deal with Kat having another affair, this time with Derek Branning, and Alfie marrying Roxy Mitchell, they married for the second time in 2014 and had twins Bert and Ernie.

Back together for the first time since Kat’s 2018 return, it emerged last week that Alfie was set to propose.

But their journey to the altar is set to be a rocky one. Scenes airing on Monday, June 9, will show Kat heartbroken by an explicit video on Alfie’s laptop.

Not realising that Tommy purchased it, she confides in Jean Slater that she’s worried that Alfie’s turned to adult entertainment as things have been quiet in the bedroom in the wake of his cancer treatment.

Later, Alfie cooks a romantic meal as Kat arrives ready to seduce him. Taken aback, Alfie tries to slow things down, but Kat is hurt and storms out.

On Tuesday, June 10, Kat and Alfie are told separately by Jean and Patrick Trueman to talk about how they’re really feeling.

Sitting down for a candid conversation about their issues and trying to find a way forward, Alfie is left confused when the explicit video is brought up.

While all this is happening, Vicki Fowler tells Ross Marshall that his son Joel needs more positive male role models. Later, they are relieved to see Joel helping Tommy with his wedding speech, not knowing he’s been showing him pornographic videos online.

The wedding day arrives on Wednesday, June 11, as Kat and Alfie’s concerns about Tommy and the video casts a shadow over their happiness.

After making a mess of several wedding tasks, Kat tells Alfie she’s having second thoughts and the wedding is dramatically called off.

Following a week of mishaps, viewers will find out if the wedding goes ahead in the end on Thursday, June 12, when Alfie is left devastated by what happened.

As Kat compares notes on the state of their love lives with Elaine Peacock and Yolande Trueman, Alfie gets a pep talk from an unlikely source as he wonders whether he and Kat can get through this.

Whether the wedding goes ahead or not remains to be seen, but there’s never a quiet moment when this famous soap couple are involved.
