Emmerdale’s Lawrence Robb found himself in quite the pickle after an amusing blunder caught during filming with co-star Emma Atkins.

Gracing our screens on Sunday’s episode of It’ll Be Alright on the Night, which is hosted by David Walliams showcasing a hilarious array of outtakes and live television faux pas, viewers were treated to an especially entertaining Emmerdale mishap.

While filming a scene where Lawrence’s character Mackenzie Boyd interacts with Emma’s character Charity Dingle, a verbal stumble led to side-splitting consequences.

In this particular take, Charity, portrayed by Emma, delivers her line: “Noah’s just about to head up there and clean the bedroom. Do you want to come and help me?”

Mackenzie quips back: “Is that with the gloves on or off?” followed by Charity’s cheeky reply: “It’s whatever turns you on!”, reports Leicestershire Live.

Mackenzie’s intended response starts as: “See I’m more of a leather…” but realising his error, Lawrence breaks character, chuckling: “Leather?! Feather, feather duster kind of!” to which a crew member promptly halts the scene and cuts filming.

Lawrence can’t contain his laughter, while Emma, dropping out of character herself, teases: “Freudian slip there, everyone, we all know what Lawrence is into, don’t we…” leaving Lawrence both amused and slightly embarrassed at the gaffe.

Meanwhile, Michelle Hardwick, who plays Vanessa Woodfield, has hinted at upcoming developments for her character and her former love interest Charity, stirring speculation about a possible reconciliation.

She shared insights on Vanessa getting involved again with Charity and others, as Sarah Sugden seeks her aid in a time of need.

Michelle expressed her delight at the revisitation of her character’s ties to Sarah and the family, especially considering she was once on the brink of becoming a part of the family.

Vanessa was poised to marry Charity, but their relationship ended in a split. Despite this, Vanessa remained a significant figure in the lives of Charity’s sons, Noah and Moses Dingle, for quite some time.

While Vanessa’s presence amongst this group has been sparse in recent years, that is set to change following Sarah’s cancer diagnosis.

Speaking at The British Soap Awards, Michelle shared: “I’m so glad they tapped in on that Vanessa and Sarah relationship.”

She added: “It’s lovely. Her mum’s not around and she can’t talk to Charity and Vanessa is her confidant which I absolutely love. So you are gonna see a lot more Vanessa and Charity scenes.

“It might not be the ones you want but they are [there]. We’ve been filming a lot more scenes together.”

When questioned about the future of ‘Vanity’, she responded: “Who knows, Vanessa is single, I have no idea what’s going on. The rest is TBC.”
