EastEnders fans have branded the show’s Zack Hudson twist ‘ridiculous’ after a shock death u-turn just hours after he was involved in a car crash.
It’s been a week to forget for the brother of Sharon Watts as he made a number of mistakes on the BBC soap.
Things got off to a bad start when he told Harry Mitchell that his brother Barney is his and not Teddy Mitchell’s, resulting in him being bundled into a car boot.
Despite being furious at Zack for sleeping with his wife Nicola Mitchell, Teddy did the right thing and got Honey Mitchell, Billy Mitchell and Nigel Bates to follow Harry’s car.
Eventually finding Harry pulled over in a woodland area, the group managed to persuade him to return home. However, Teddy decided he wanted to talk to Zack when he woke up.
Once Zack awakened, he quickly panicked, causing Teddy to lose control of his car and fly off the side of the embankment and plunge into the water.
On Wednesday (May 28), Teddy broke the news that he couldn’t find Zack in the water, with it appearing that he drowned as a result of the crash.

However, just 24 hours after many viewers were left devastated by actor James Farrah’s apparent exit, Zack’s fate was revealed.
In scenes that aired on Thursday (May 29), Teddy confirmed to Barney that Zack was his real father after Vicki Fowler broke the news to the youngster the night prior.
Over in Harry’s Barn, Nicola told Harry that she killed his pregnant girlfriend Shireen Basharr, whose body was only found last month after four years, when she uncovered the truth about Barney.
With Barney trying to accept the truth about who his dad actually is, Zack emerged into the house dripping in water, putting an end to fears he died.

According to Zack, he feared what Teddy and Harry were going to do to him so decided to swim to the other side of the lake.
In a poor attempt to win Barney’s trust, Zack proceeded to tell him that Nicola is a killer, causing Barney to panic and try to get away from him.
Following a fight in the Square between Teddy and Zack, Barney told the family that he just wanted everything to go back to normal, with the episode ending with the Mitchells playing a board game.
