This article contains spoilers for tonight’s episode of EastEnders, which airs on BBC One at 7.30pm or can be streamed now on iPlayer.
The floor has fallen from beneath Nicola Mitchell’s (Laura Doddington) feet.
Earlier this month, police arrested the her dodgy associate Benji (Carl Prekopp) for the murder of missing woman Shireen Bashar.
As we all know, it was actually Nic that was responsible, and Benji had been framed by her husband Teddy (Roland Manookian) in a bid to save her.
There was one issue though – their eldest son Harry (Elijah Holloway) became convinced that his mother wasn’t telling the whole truth, and has subsequently disowned his parents.
Nicola hasn’t really kept quiet about her involvement, spilling everything to Zack Hudson (James Farrar) in a bid to show him just how dangerous she can be. She also hoped that this would be enough to stop him exposing the fact that he fathered her youngest son Barney (Lewis Bridgeman).
Last week, he decided that Barney was at risk in the Mitchell household, and he wanted to take him far away from the area.
His plan kicked off in today’s instalment, as he told Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) that he needed some cash to make his escape.
Vicki was firmly against the idea, as was Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), who warned him against messing with Nicola.
He couldn’t offer him the cash – or rather, didn’t want to – and so a glum looking Zack wandered off to ponder his next move.
Running into Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), he confessed everything to her, and she pleaded with him to go to the police about what he knows. Boosted by her words, he headed to the station and reported Nicola for killing Shireen.
After some careful consideration, the officer decided to arrest her, something which Harry was furious to see.

He was finally caving to his dad’s attempts to make amends, but this had blown everything out of the water once again.
Zack clocked Harry’s unusual reaction, and hoped that he would be the one who could help him in his plight. Harry was stunned to learn that Barney was his half-brother, and said that he’d need some time to consider what he did next.
In the Mitchell household, he sat down and gave Nicola a chance to finally admit what she did to Shireen.
With her silence more revealing than her denial, Harry then blurted out Zack’s big secret.
Teddy isn’t Barney’s dad. Cue the doof doofs!
