Paternity scandals, secrets exposed, and a vehicle submerged in a lake! It’s going to be quite a week in EastEnders!

There is drama aplenty for the Mitchells as Teddy (Roland Manookian) finally discovers he is not Barney’s (Lewis Bridgeman) biological father while Nicola (Laura Doddington) is arrested.

Harry (Elijah Holloway) decides to take things into his own hands, attempting to get rid of Zack Hudson (James Farrar). A car is left submerged in the lake, but who is in it?

And Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) is left in shock when it’s exposed that she slept with Joel (Max Murray).

Monday May 26

Zack decides to go to Ravi, hoping for a loan to fund his escape, but Ravi warns him not to mess with Nicola after revealing she recently asked him to help her move a body!

Zack chooses to confide in Linda, who convinces him he must tell the police what he knows in order to protect Barney.

DC Powers arrests Nicola, and after seeing Harry’s reaction, he decides it’s time to reveal the truth about Barney’s paternity, hoping Harry will help him get Barney away to safety. After Nicolas’ release, Harry tells Teddy the news: he is not Barney’s dad, Zack is…

Nigel is angry that his birthday isn’t celebrated despite saying he didn’t want a fuss. A confused Phil suggests a belated birthday celebration with a trip to the cinema.

News gets out about Avani sleeping with Joel, and she receives an onslaught of cruel online messages. Barney attempts to reach out but Avani gets defensive when he mentions Joel and storms off.

Barney finds her again later as she’s sitting upset in the playground and attempts to help once again.

Tuesday May 27

Nicola tries to deny that Zack is Barney’s biological father, but is forced to come clean as Teddy continues to push her for the truth.

A confrontation breaks out as Teddy demands answers, but both he and Nicola are stunned when Harry reveals Zack has a plan to leave with Barney. Later, Harry takes drastic action in an attempt to stop Zack by bundling him into a car boot and speeding out of Walford.

Worried about what Harry may have done, Teddy stops Honey, Billy and Nigel on their way to the cinema and demands they give him a lift to stop Harry before he can carry out his plan.

However, just as Teddy thinks he may be able to fix the situation, things take a dramatic turn as a car veers off the road and submerges itself in the lake.

Meanwhile, Barney attempts to comfort Avani after she’s received abusive messages, but Nicola spots them and presumes Avani is leading Barney astray, but he tells Nicola the reason Avani needs support, and she shares some words of advice for Avani, who’s touched by the pair’s support.

Wednesday May 28

The survivors scramble in an attempt to save those trapped in the vehicle in the lake. News of the accident reaches Walford, and Vicky decides to take matters into her own hands…

Avani invites Barney back to her house but gets irritated when he takes things the wrong way and once again storms off. Ravi spots the altercation and offers Barney some advice. The two later reconcile with Avani giving Barney a kiss…
