Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) was left utterly devastated in tonight’s Emmerdale, as he was led to believe he had made a massive mistake at Butlers Farm.
Yesterday, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) got his long-awaited revenge on Mack by tampering with the slurry. Earlier in the day, John had come up to the farm to speak with Mack, who was emptying the tank before the stag do.
John later grabbed a pipe and removed it from the tank, which meant the contaminated liquid started pouring down a field.
In tonight’s episode, the strong smell from the slurry meant it didn’t take long for Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) to realise something was wrong. She raced down a path, and was shocked to see the state of the damage.

Moira called on Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Mack for help, but conveniently John and Aaron (Danny Miller) then showed up. John claimed that he wanted to speak to Mack and attempt to clear the air, but it was obvious he just wanted to watch the chaos unfold.
Mack said to Moira that he sorted the slurry out in the exact same way he’s done previously, so he didn’t understand why the mistake had happened. Sadly though, because Mack was the only person keeping an eye on the tank yesterday, he got the blame.
As some of them got to work covering the liquid, Cain headed into the valley to try and gauge how far it had spread. Unfortunately, he confirmed it had gone into the stream, which flowed into the main water supply.

Struggling to process all of the information, Moira knew this development would have life-changing impacts on the farm.
As the afternoon continued, the family arrived in the pub. Just as Mack thanked John for all of his help, Ross (Michael Parr) burst in and revealed Vic (Isabel Hodgins) was getting into an ambulance with her son Harry.
John quickly learnt that Harry had drunk some contaminated water. As the ambulance left, Mackenzie looked completely broken, while John’s guilt started to increase.
If Harry’s condition gets worse, where will this leave John and Mack?
