This article contains spoilers for tonight’s episode of EastEnders, which airs on BBC One at 7.30pm or can be streamed now on iPlayer.
Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) has exacted vicious revenge on her former mother-in-law Kathy (Gillian Taylforth).
The scheming super b**ch has finally got her own back, after Kath’ smacked her over the head with a shovel on Christmas Day.
She had initially demanded the Beale family home, plus their chippy and pie restaurant, in exchange for her silence.
However, earlier this week, she gained some leverage in her vicious plot.
Walking down Bridge Street, she witnessed Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) engaging in a charged conversation with Kath. The pair confessed their love for one another, before agreeing to end their affair – sealing the moment with a kiss.
Cindy wasn’t going to let such a huge moment go without recognition, and whipped out her phone to record every last second.
The kiss occurred just minutes after Harvey’s partner Jean (Gillian Wright) got down on one knee and proposed to him. When he returned home, she took his silence as acceptance of the marriage and was overjoyed.

A guilt-ridden Harvey agreed to go along with it, on the condition of a prolonged engagement.
In tonight’s episode, Cindy swanned her way into Kathy’s house and produced the footage. Despite that, Kath’ was reluctant to sign over the businesses and said she was prepared to hand herself in to the police for the attack if it meant no more people were hurt.
An iconic row ensued, with both women firing insults at one another.
Meanwhile, at The Vic, Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe) thought that Harvey and Jean’s engagement should be announced during baby Jimmy’s welcome home party.
The couple didn’t want to steal Lauren Branning and Peter Beale’s (Jacqueline Jossa and Thomas Law) limelight, but Elaine and husband George (Colin Salmon) were adamant that it would help to lift the spirits even further.
Kathy then ordered Harvey to come to her house, where she showed him the video. He was stunned to learn that she was the one who had attempted to kill Cindy, but assured that he’d stand by her and beg her blackmailer for forgiveness.

Later, the two women met up again, and Kathy attempted to bargain. It seemed to work – and Cindy ‘deleted’ the incriminating footage.
She then marched into The Vic – during the celebrations – and announced that she is the new owner of a Walford business.
Has Ian finally caved and handed over his beloved pie shop? Or is the cafe about to become Cindy’s again?
We’re keeping that one a secret, but it cements her right back into the community!
Peter was furious to see his mother gatecrash, while Lauren darted off upstairs to avoid contact with her.
With nothing to lose, and as Jean and Harvey stood up to proudly announce their forthcoming marriage, she cast the video of him kissing Kathy to the TV.
