EastEnders’ Harry Mitchell continues to spiral and push all his loved ones away next week – but will Gina Knight be the one who finally gets through to him?

As Harry reels from discovering the truth about his ex-girlfriend Shireen’s death, the bombshells keep coming thick and fast.

With Teddy and Nicola desperate to make things right with their son, it’s no wonder Harry’s just as determined to block things out with alcohol…

“Not only that, but all the other secrets that have come tumbling out since have left Harry realising that his parents have been lying to him for years. He feels horribly betrayed by the two people who were supposed to protect him.”

Seeing her friend in so much pain leaves Gina terribly concerned, though of course she has no idea of the horrors that he’s dealing with.

So when Nicola and Teddy accost her in the Minute Mart and dig for info on their son’s wellbeing, kind-hearted Gina believes she’s doing the right thing by sharing her concerns.

However, her words just leave Harry’s parents even more worried, and they head straight to the Arches to check in with their son.

Harry’s furious to think that Gina’s been talking to his mum and dad behind his back and later lashes out at his friend for her betrayal.

Thankfully, the pair soon make amends, though Jay pulls Gina to one side and gives her a stark warning about her growing friendship with Harry. But will she take his concerns on board?

“When has Gina ever listened to anyone’s advice?” our insider says. “It’s clear to her that Harry needs a good friend right now – however, there’s more trouble between them when Harry misreads her signals, leading to crossed wires…”

With the pals at odds once more, Harry seeks advice from his uncle Billy. As Gina catches up with him to explain herself, will Harry accept the hand of friendship? Or is he just too damaged to admit he needs Gina’s help?
