10 huge new Emmerdale spoilers you need to see today

Coming up on Emmerdale, life for the Bartons changes forever as long-lost family member Lewis turns up.

Elsewhere, Mackenzie and John’s feud intensifies, and a shock incident at Moira’s farm endangers the villagers.

1. Moira hands Ross a shocking letter

Moira receives a letter addressed to ‘The Family of Emma Barton’. Still plagued with guilt after killing Emma in 2017, Moira is reluctant to share the letter with Ross.

When Moira finally does the right thing and hands it over, Ross is shocked to read that he has a long-lost half-brother, Lewis.

2. Matty gives Ross some advice

Moira is concerned when Ross wants to bury his head in the sand following the news about Lewis. Ross insists that he doesn’t want to meet his secret sibling, but Matty points out that he’s got nothing to lose and Lewis’s arrival could change his life for the better.

Ross takes these words on board and reaches out to Lewis. Moira can’t help feeling uneasy, knowing that her past is about to come back to haunt her.

3. Ross and Lewis face a difficult first meeting

Ross heads to some woodland and meets up with Lewis, who’s played by Heartstopper actor Bradley Riches. An awkward atmosphere ensues when Ross struggles to answer Lewis’s many questions about the Bartons, not wanting to expose any dark family secrets.

In the end, Ross chooses to leave and he lies to Moira by claiming that it was a mutual decision to end the meeting early. Is it really the last he’ll see of Lewis?

4. John is celebrated at The Woolpack

John misses the event for his heroism award when Aaron suffers a mental health crisis and needs his support.

Determined that John shouldn’t miss out, Victoria and Tracy join forces to celebrate him at The Woolpack instead. Everyone seems thrilled at how much John has seemingly helped people since moving to the village, but Mackenzie’s resentment simmers as he starts to feel left out.

5. Mack and John’s rivalry threatens to spiral out of control

Mack starts to plot against John. As everyone gathers for a paintballing session organised for John and Aaron’s stag do, Mack is left uneasy when John issues him with a chilling warning.

Mack sees the paintballing competition as an ideal way to thwart John and heads off into the woods to teach him a lesson. But could his plan backfire?

6. Mack is blamed for a disaster at the farm

At the farm, there’s a serious leak with the slurry tank and Mack gets the blame.

The situation becomes far more serious when Cain realises that the slurry has affected the main water supply for the village. Victoria’s young son Harry is rushed to hospital after drinking some of the contaminated water.

7. Chas and Liam take another step forward

Liam’s living arrangements take a difficult turn when he catches Mandy in an unguarded moment.

Fortunately, things improve when Chas agrees that Liam can move in with her at The Woolpack.

8. Bear’s belongings are boxed up

9. Ross tries to help Ryan

Ryan is heartbroken after the breakdown of his relationship with Gail.

Ross suggests that he should start playing the field, but could this advice backfire?

10. Manpreet gets a lifeline

Manpreet is pleased when Liam agrees to cover up the revelations of Joe blackmailing her.

Despite this, Liam is finding it hard not to feel betrayed over Manpreet’s recklessness when it comes to her job.
