New data has predicted which year Emmerdale could finish for good. Fans won’t take the news well.
With other soaps having already been axed due to budget cuts, heading into the television graveyard (bye Holby City, Doctors and now Neighbours and River City), fans will likely be worrying if others will follow.
Well, while Emmerdale looks to be safe for now, new data has predicted exactly when fans should start worrying.

Emmerdale is on top form
Emmerdale is going from strength to strength, with the soap having a very strong awards season in 2024.
With huge storylines such as Belle and Tom’s abuse storyline, as well as exciting returns of fan favourites like Joe Tate and Ross Barton, the soap received lots of praise.
The soap even won the award for Best Serial Drama at the NTAs in 2024.
And this year has already got off to a strong start. The soap won the big one for Best Soap at the TV Choice Awards.
And, the year has seen a huge stunt happen in which Leyla, Suzy and Amy all lost their lives in a big limo crash back in February. The soap also revealed Nate Robinson’s death during that week.
And, with an upcoming whodunnit for Joe Tate, the drama looks set to keep on coming, having viewers gripped.

New data predicts 2037 end date for Emmerdale
But, despite Emmerdale currently being at the top, new data has revealed that a huge prediction for when the soap may stop airing.
Data collected from Betway Casino predicts that Emmerdale could stop airing by 2039.
They’ve predicted that viewing figures for 2026 will be 3.3 million per episode, 2030 will see 2.3 million per episode, and 2035 will see 1 million per episode.
But, it’s even worse news for EastEnders fans, with the BBC soap being predicted to finish up by 2037.
Coronation Street though is expected to outlive the two, airing until 2072.
But, it’s important to remember that these are just predictions and as it stands, Emmerdale has lots more drama in store for us yet (phew!)
