There’s been a lot going on in Steph’s world in recent weeks, which has put a strain on her relationship with Ross.
Viewers will know Steph has been struggling to deal with the revelations about Anthony and it’s led her to experience an identity crisis. She was all ready to undergo plastic surgery to rid her resemblance to her birth dad, but Ruby and Caleb stopped her.
Ross, who knows all about Anthony – except the murder part – tried to reach out to Steph, but found himself on the receiving end of her rage. Steph verbally attacked her boyfriend and did a runner, leaving Ross fearful for her safety.
This week, the couple sit down to talk things over. But Ross is left shattered by what Steph has to say to him.
Ross beds Manpreet after Steph dumps him
Last week’s meltdown was a huge wake-up call for Steph. It’s made her realise how fragile her mental health is and that she needs to focus on number one. Unfortunately, this means the end of the road for her and Ross.
In a classic ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ conversation, Steph tells Ross they’re finished. She explains she needs to prioritise her recovery and wants to spare his feelings. Gutted, Ross begs with Steph to reconsider her decision, but she won’t budge.
Stung by the rejection, serial womaniser Ross ends up seeking comfort from fellow lonely soul, Manpreet. The unlikely lovers go back to hers and fall into bed.
Ross and Manpreet busted by Caleb in Emmerdale spoilers
Next morning, instead of sticking around for cuddles, Ross decides to make a quick exit from Dale Head. Manpreet tries to talk to him, but Ross shrugs her off, making it clear it was just a one-off thing.
Meanwhile, Caleb walks past and clocks the encounter. It doesn’t take the wily Miligan long to realise what his daughter’s ex has been getting up to.
Will Caleb tell Steph what he saw? And how will she feel about Ross moving on so fast?
