EastEnders fans have been left fearing murderer Nicola Mitchell will strike again in another violent attack against one Walford resident.

In recent episodes, Nicola (played by Laura Doddington) has been hell bent on covering her tracks after she admitted to having her son Harry’s (Elijah Holloway) girlfriend killed four years ago.

During a showdown with husband Teddy (Roland Manookian) on Monday (28th April), Nicola desperately claimed that she only paid Benji to scare Shireen away from Harry, but things got out of hand and she was killed.

Teddy was furious and didn’t believe her story, and marched over to Harry’s Barn to tell their son Harry the truth. Nicola stopped Teddy in his tracks, pleading that the news would destroy Harry and send him off the rails.

Later, Teddy told his wife to pack a bag and run away before Shireen’s body is discovered at their building site in Dartford. He explained that Benji is an experienced killer and won’t get caught, having planted evidence to pin the murder on Nicola.

Nicola did as she was told and packed a suitcase and prepared to leave Walford, but Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) discovered his mum’s plans just before she left the house.

Teddy later found Barney upset in the Square, who told his dad he knew about Nicola’s departure.

Meanwhile, Nicola snuck into Paradise Park and used Benji’s directions to find the exact spot where Shireen is buried. She frantically began digging while talking to herself – revealing why she ordered Shireen’s killing.

“You were going to ruin Harry’s life,” she said. “And you knew too much. Sooner or later, you would have told Teddy that Barney wasn’t his. I couldn’t let that happen.”

On Tuesday, Teddy and Nicola both tried to cover their tracks and pay Benji to move Shireen’s body.

Elsewhere, Harry started to get closer to Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) as she agreed to go on one date with the mechanic.

Harry was buzzing from the news and expressed his seriousness about getting to know the bartender.

But EastEnders fans are worried that if Gina gets too close to Harry, and finds out the secret about Barney’s paternity, Nicola will try and kill her like she did to Shireen.

Taking to X, one fan wrote: “Naaah I actually like the idea of Harry and Gina! Nicola better not do anything to her though!! #EastEnders.”

Sharing a photo of Gina and Harry, a second explained: “Another great episode of #EastEnders tonight! Nicola really has got herself in too deep with this Shireen situation. Just wait until the truth comes to light about Nicola’s involvement in her death.”

Over on Reddit, one viewer stated: “Prediction: Nicola is going to kill Gina.”

A second replied: “If Nicola kills Gina, then that makes Cindy’s return the only good possibility…to take revenge and go for Nicola. Forget Kathy, forget Ian, forget Lauren, but go for your daughter’s murderess. That’s actually the only way I’d enjoy her return.”

A third chimed in: “I think either Nicola kills Gina or tries to, but it’s definitely not a coincidence Harry and Gina are becoming close right now.”
