EastEnders spoilers for next week promise chaos and drama as one character goes into labour and a villain returns to Walford, while there’s bombshells and twists

It’s a big week for EastEnders next week with dramatic scenes and a special episode.

We’ve got the return of villain Cindy Beale, who caused quite the uproar before she upped and left weeks ago. With her being blamed by some for the Queen Vic explosion and the death of Martin Fowler, it’s time for her to face the music.

It’s safe to say her arrival sparks chaos, as she heads back to Walford in time for her son Peter Beale’s engagement party following him and Lauren Branning deciding to get married. Lauren is annoyed at Peter as the pregnant character attends her last midwife check, and potential complications are discussed.

Peter exits to make a phone call and she’s feeling unsupported. As her worries continue across the evening, she hides away only to be joined by Kathy Beale who encourages her to enjoy the party.

Her happiness is short-lived when Cindy arrives though, and soon attendees are shocked by the matter. Lauren has enough and leaves, issuing Peter with an ultimatum.

Peter is told to choose between his mum and Lauren, while everyone else shuns Cindy once more. She retaliates by revealing all about Kathy attacking her though, before heading to find Lauren to confront her, only to find her in labour on her own.

Cindy takes matters into her own hands to get Lauren to hospital when their ambulance is delayed, while the message is passed on to Chelsea Fox who informs Peter of what is happening. As everyone at the club waits for news on Lauren and her baby, will they be okay?

Elsewhere next week, Harry Mitchell is still reeling from recent events and he continues to hit the bottle. Billy Mitchell finds his nephew in a bad way, but attempts to reconcile with him after recent drama.

Nicola Mitchell is on the hunt for her AWOL son, while it’s not long before Harry is spotted getting drunk again. Gina Knight becomes convinced there’s something going on, and when she tries to press Harry for information he remains tight-lipped – amid viewers recently learning Nicola caused the murder of Harry’s ex Shireen.

As for Nicola next week she’s back to her threatening ways, as Zack Hudson gets himself involved in her latest drama. Vicki Fowler makes a discovery about her stepson Joel Marshall next week, leading to a row with her partner Ross.

Joel’s dad Ross spots his son’s obsession with his phone and it leads to a clash. Vicki tries to defuse the situation, but it only causes a row between the couple.

Ross later reveals the truth to Vicki regarding their debt, and the real reason they had to leave Australia, while fans know the debt is really Joel’s. Shocked by what she learns, Vicki flees with Ross later attempting to fix things between them – but it’s clear she is not happy.

Vicki leaves Ross attempts to make amends with Vicki, but it’s clear Vicki is not in the forgiving mood. Also next week there is a special episode commemorating VE Day. Linda Carter reveals The Vic is reopening for the special day, but not everyone is keen as they continue to struggle with Martin Fowler’s recent death.

Nigel Bates, meanwhile, is excited to celebrate the historic anniversary but it soon becomes apparent that he believes it’s 1995 amid his dementia diagnosis. Jean Slater and Phil Mitchell decide to throw a party, and the residents of Walford congregate to celebrate those previously fallen – including their very own, Martin – as The Vic reopens its doors once again

Finally next week Kathy Beale and Harvey Monroe continue to find solace in each other, only to be almost caught out. It leads to a secret holiday being scuppered.
