Sarah has spent the past few weeks in the middle of a war. She’s been dating bad boy Kammy, but her ex-boyfriend Jacob has made it clear he wants her back.
After trying a variety of tactics to split Sarah and Kammy up, Jacob decided to take his love rival on in a dangerous dirt bike race. Sarah warned Kammy she would dump him if he went ahead with the silly contest, but he did it anyway. As predicted, Kammy beat Jacob in the race, but ended up the loser when Sarah stayed true to her word.
The whole saga has made Sarah realise it’s not a boyfriend she really wants, it’s a baby.
Determined Sarah embarks on her quest
Sarah confides in Vanessa, revealing she’s ready to become a mum. Vanessa is a little alarmed, which is understandable given Sarah’s complicated medical history. Viewers will know Sarah suffers from the rare blood disorder fanconi anemia. This sadly means she has a shortened life expectancy.
Vanessa asks Sarah whether she’s making a sensible decision, but the mechanic is determined to explore the possibility of IVF.
Next day, Sarah goes to see local GP Manpreet. Sarah asks whether she’d be viable for IVF given her illness and Manpreet is honest in her response. Unfortunately Sarah still won’t listen, which makes Manpreet pity her. Can she help Sarah accept the reality of her situation?
Sarah hides the truth from Charity in Emmerdale spoilers
Following her appointment with Manpreet, Sarah reconvenes with Vanessa and explains she’s been in touch with a few local clinics to see if she’s eligible for IVF.
Charity spots the pair together and approaches, making Sarah and Vanessa flustered as they quickly change the subject.
Afterwards, Vanessa urges Sarah to be honest with her gran and let her know about the IVF plans. Will Sarah find the courage to open up to Charity and risk her telling the same thing as Manpreet? Or will Charity support Sarah’s baby dream?
