EastEnders fans are predicting the ‘demise’ of a villain, claiming she is set to be ‘brought down’ following a stunning twist.

In a week that had a full episode dedicated to Phil Mitchell and Nigel Bates, one plotline has kept viewers of the BBC soap guessing from start to finish.

Harry Mitchell’s girlfriend Shireen Bashar mysteriously disappeared before his family moved to Albert Square last year, with the pieces coming together as to why over the past few months.

It turned out that Harry’s mum Nicola Mitchell, who lied to Sharon Watts and Zack Hudson that her husband Teddy Mitchell did it, killed Shireen, with her body buried at an industrial site.

With Teddy and Junior Knight beginning a construction project at the site of the crime, Nicola pleaded with her henchman Benji to remove the body.

Sadly for the baddie, Benji decided to make a play for safety by planting evidence on her body that would allow everyone to know Nicola killed her.

In scenes that aired on Thursday night (April 24), Nicola wasn’t in a party mood despite her family gathering to celebrate her birthday.

Desperate to get out of her situation, Nicola offered Ravi Gulati £10,000 to remove something from the construction site, where Teddy’s project was to begin the next day.

In a sign of how far drug dealer Ravi has come, he decided to reject the money he wanted to use to bring his daugther Avani Nandra-Hart on holiday and spend more time with her at home instead.

Despite Nicola threatening to tell the police about his drug dealing, Ravi stuck to his guns and rejected doing any more work for her.

Unsure what to do next, Nicola admitted that it was a dead body that needed to be moved, only for Teddy to walk in.

With nowhere left to go, Nicola finally told her husband that she killed someone four years ago, which Teddy immediately realised was Shireen.

Those watching the episode at home rushed to X, now known as Twitter, to speculate on how Nicola’s past is finally going to catch up on her.

Whatever happens next, it looks like Teddy and Nicola are going to be at the heart of all the drama in Walford moving forward.
