EastEnders’ Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) may be enjoying some no-strings fun with Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison), but things get complicated between them next week when Johnny catches feelings.
The pair were recently set up by Johnny’s mum Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), but she was later shocked when she learned Felix was dating other people, not realising the casual nature of their relationship.
While Johnny enlightened Linda about the positives of a non-committal fling as she thought about her own dating life, forthcoming scenes will see him consider something more long-term with Felix.
Trouble is, it doesn’t look like Felix is on the same page.

Next week, Johnny confides in his grandmother Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe) that he’d like a serious relationship with Felix.
After plucking up the courage to ask him out officially, Johnny is disappointed when Felix rejects him, having lined up a date with someone else that night.
However, things between Felix and his new fella don’t go to plan, and a delighted Johnny swoops in to invite him to a movie afternoon.
But as Johnny is gearing up to ask Felix about making a go of things as a couple, Elaine, Linda and the Knight girls crash in, putting paid to his plan.
Later in the week, Johnny finally lays his cards on the table – but what will Felix say?

The future is looking uncertain for them, however, as last month it was confirmed actor Matthew James Morrison is soon set to leave EastEnders.
Felix made his debut in 2022, arriving with brother Finlay (Ashley Byam) and dad Avery (Omar Lye-Fook, MBE). The character also made history as Walford’s first-ever regular drag queen Tara Misu.
Of his exit, a BBC spokesperson previously told The Sun: ‘We can confirm that Matthew will be leaving EastEnders later in the year. We wish him all the best for the future.’
